Living in Florida, we all have to prepare for hurricane season. This includes our pets. We at Beach Park Animal Clinic, a veterinary hospital in Tampa / South Tampa Florida, recommend the following in order to get your pets ready:
- Proper identification for your pets. Remember, collars can fall off so having your pet micro-chipped is a great idea.
- Medications. Having a supply of any medications your pet is currently on
- Paper work / proof of vaccinations. May be required for any shelter you may have to go to.
- Food
- Fresh water
- Pet carriers
- List of pet friendly shelters in your area
